The mosaic includes the main campus with DuBourg Hall and St. Francis Xavier Church, more commonly known as College Church. Its located in the Central West End neighborhood of Saint Louis, 2. Hildreth Meire's work in the main sanctuary of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis includes nine commissions in Byzantine-style glass mosaic designed between 1945 and 1961.1 North dome (Twelve Apostles) and north wall with Two Drinking Deer and Meandering Grapevine. Although workers began clearing ground for the building on May 1, 1907, dedication of the Cathedral and its first Mass did not take place until October 18, 1914, when the superstructure was complete.
